Passport to the Arts: Stories and Songs Around the World

led by: Sarah Goralewicz & Dr. Jessica Kendal

This session showcases a rich collaboration between elementary music and media center programming.  Learn how to create lessons that integrate songs and stories from a wide variety of world cultures, as well as a student passport to help students document their learning as they 'travel'!  Participants will experience colorful presentations that broaden students' knowledge of geography, as well literature, architecture, foods, and musical instruments quintessential to those cultures.  This collaboration strives to enrich student participation in heritage months through the school year by connecting our travel to that calendar.  Come see - and hear - the world with us!
