PRESENTER BIO:

Art Educator, Duval County Public Schools/San Pablo Elementary

Sunni Myers is currently an art educator with Duval County Public Schools with 14 years of experience in elementary art. With a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of North Florida, Sunni utilizes a mixture of art making techniques and history to instruct all her students. In 2018, Sunni became a board member for the Northeast Florida Art Educator Association (NEFAEA) as the Elementary representative. In this role she worked as an advocate for art educators in the Northeast Florida region. Sunni has continued her service as a board member with NEFAEA and currently holds the position of President for 2023-2025 term. As president for NEFAEA, Sunni’s goal is to raise awareness and funding for arts education by strengthening bonds with art educators in her region. She believes that fostering imagination through arts education creates inspiration and innovation, that can lead a community to realize its highest potential.
