PRESENTER BIO:

Theatre Director/Educator, North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts (NFMAA)

Kathy Rivadeneria earned her Honors BA in the specialized Drama in Education program with a Vocal Music focus at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy's twenty year theatre educator/director/ performer career has taken her to theatres across The United States and Canada including Maine and California. 

Currently Kathy is the Theatre educator, director, and Jr. Thespian sponsor at the highly accredited North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts. Highlights of her career include working with Disney Licensing Company to produce back to back pilot productions.  Kathy is honored to have the bragging rights of being the first director to stage a production of Disney's Moana Jr.  Immediately following this huge success Disney Licensing requested she direct a pilot for the famous dance musical, Newsies Jr.

Kathy calls the prestigious Ogunquit Playhouse her summer home.  She has directed both virtual and live on stage musicals in Ogunquit, Maine for their Youth Academy.  This is the perfect avenue for young performers to step on a professional stage and be creative, take risks, learn new skills, and add to their own story, while collaborating with others from around the nation. 

In 2021, Kathy brought 50+ students to perform at the FAAE Conference in Fort Myers, Florida.  She collaborated through zoom with professional Broadway choreographers and together they created a 45 minute live musical production for attendees evening banquet.  Not even a pandemic can stop Kathy's creativity, it only adds to her story.
